# OpenAI Whisper API (curl)
Transcribe an audio file via OpenAI’s `/v1/audio/transcriptions` endpoint.
## Quick start
```bash
{baseDir}/scripts/transcribe.sh /path/to/audio.m4a
```
Defaults:
- Model: `whisper-1`
- Output: `<input>.txt`
## Useful flags
